Unlocked: An Oral History of Haden's Syndrome ★★★★☆
A very short but engaging book about the onset of Haden's Syndrome from Scalzi's Locked In series. Although published in 2018, Scalzi gets many things right about how rapidly a global pandemic spreads in today's world and eventually becomes endemic. He also touches on the ethical murkiness involved in hastening scientific medical research, as well as the role of the government in responding to a rapidly killing unknown disease.
Read this only after reading the initial two books in the series.
