McFarland, USA, 2015 ★★★★☆

Kevin Costner is back in his usual & comfortable 'coach' role but this movie adds the layers of coaching in a low-income Hispanic town in the late 80s as well as the personal struggle of a white coach trying to find his place. Thankfully, the movie stays away from the white savior complex and in fact, ends up with the kids shown as saving the coach while achieving their personal victories.
